A Memory to Remember.

Amnesia is a condition in which memory is disturbed. It is usually caused by an injury to the back of the head where the brain stores all of the person’s memory. The amount of damage taken can determine if the amnesia is permanent or temporary.
I think that amnesia would be one of my top ten things I would most dread having. It would leave me with none of my past memories and I may not even have the ability to speak. If I could take one memory with me, I think I would take the memory of 2006 Christmas in Ireland. During that time I met with all of my old friends and family and had an amazing time. I would pick this memory because I think it would be important to remember as much of my past as possible. And seeing as I am now in America, I should know as much as I can about my life back in Ireland.
I really enjoyed the Christmas in Ireland and it was a great time for me to socialize with all of my friends and family. I could not think of another time that I met all of my family members at the same time. There is the possibility that I will be going back to Ireland in the next few months and if not a year or so, so I think that it would be important to know about my homeland and about how things are done there. It would be very weird to return to a place you have lived at for most of your life and not know anything about it.
I think that this would be great memory to have because it help me come to terms with who my family was, what kind of life I lived, and who I was. From this memory I would also be able to learn as much as I could about myself. I would be able to find out what my likes and dislikes were from the types of presents I received, and about what kind of a family I came from.
This memory has always been special to me and I hope I never forget it. It reminds me of all the good times I had in Ireland and what I left behind…
