If North Korea Bombed The World...

I don’t know much about the situation in North Korea but it is fun and interesting to imagine what would happen if they took the offensive in world politics or war. For example, if North Korea happened to bomb the entire world next week, it would be in chaos. Telephones down, no electricity, water shut off and gas stations out of order, in short the whole world would have to start again and rebuild the entire nation of America that we know it today.
The first thing to do would be to establish some sort of order in the world. Many who had studied to be lawyers or business entrepreneurs would have to learn to get their hands dirty. I think that we should have five main jobs that people should learn to be skilled at.
First up would probably be a farmer. This would be a very important job because most food stores in the world would be destroyed and those that were still standing would not last long with the amount of people it would have to feed but it would probably enough to last until the first harvest. Stores would also be unreliable because much of the food would go off quite quickly (except the twinkies).
The next job would be a doctor. After the bombing a lot of people would be wounded or sick, people with asthma would be particularly vulnerable because lots of dust, dirt and bacteria would be floating around. It would also be very important to keep as many of the survivors alive so they can help repopulate or help by training in one of the five jobs.
The third job would probably be a builder. Many of the houses in the world would have been reduced to toothpicks, so we would need people skilled in construction and building. The survivors would need to be given a place to sleep, so I think that a large multi-roomed structure would be the first thing to be put up before individual houses to be put up. Also, hospitals and churches would have to be erected quickly so a large amount of people would probably be needed to volunteer to train as a builder as it would be one of the most important jobs.
I think another good job would be engineers. As I said before the world would be divided and engineers would be needed to establish communications. Sewers, roads, and water would be needed. Water, in particular would be of utmost concern. The engineers would be needed to run the water plants, and if necessary, to divert a river to a more profitable location. Engineers would also be able to get electrical power to a certain area and therefore make the lives of the survivors a lot easier.
The last job for me would be a police officer. In times of great need, the opportunity for criminals would be immense. Law and order would have to be superior to those who defy it. If the world was going to be reborn and many of the former criminals wanted to give up those ways and start again should be welcomed. But those who have no interest in helping anyone else or giving up their old ways should locked up or shot. Many people may have lost family members and be so filled with cold anger, that they go and kill as many people as they can, and with the circumstances, I think that would be quite possible. If such an occasion should happen, police officers would be needed to stop them.
Well it was good fun thinking about what would happen North Korea made war, but I don’t think that that will be happening any time soon.
